This Privacy Policy describes how QR Master ("the App") handles data. The App is designed from the ground up to respect and protect your privacy.
QR Master is designed with privacy as a core principle. The App does not collect, store on external servers, or sell any of your personal scanning data or generated QR codes. All your scan records, generated codes, and preferences remain strictly on your device. The App communicates with third-party services only for necessary operational features (serving ads via Google AdMob, processing in-app purchases via Google Play, and loading typography from Google Fonts) as described in this policy.

When using the "Connect to Wi-Fi" feature for scanned Wi-Fi QR codes, the App uses Android network APIs to establish the connection. On certain Android versions, the Android operating system requires Location permission to scan for and connect to nearby Wi-Fi networks. The App uses this permission strictly locally to perform the connection and does not track, record, or transmit your physical location.
If you enable Fingerprint or Face lock, authentication is performed entirely by your device's secure hardware enclave. The App has no access to, and never stores or transmits, any biometric identifiers.
If you enable "Auto-Copy to Clipboard", the content of successfully scanned codes is automatically copied to your device's system clipboard. Be aware that other applications on your device may read the clipboard. We recommend disabling this feature when scanning sensitive credentials.
When you export scan history as CSV, PDF, TXT, or ZIP, the file is created in a temporary directory on your device and shared via your device's native share sheet. The App does not upload exported files to any server.
The App requests INTERNET permission to load font files from Google Fonts (cached locally), open URLs contained in scanned QR codes (with explicit user confirmation), deliver non-personalized ads via Google AdMob, and process purchases via Google Play Billing. No custom telemetry or crash reporting data is sent to developer servers.
The App integrates the Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) SDK to display advertisements. To maximize user privacy, the App is configured to request Non-Personalized Ads (NPA) only. Google AdMob does not use personalized, interest-based, or behavioral targeting in this App, nor does it create an advertising profile or perform cross-app tracking. Google may process limited technical info (such as IP addresses, basic device metrics, conversion identifiers, and advertising IDs) required to deliver ads, prevent fraud, and run diagnostic reports.
The App offers an optional one-time in-app purchase to remove advertisements permanently (Lifetime Premium). All purchases are processed securely and exclusively through the Google Play Store (Google LLC). QR Master never collects, accesses, receives, or stores your credit card numbers, bank account information, or billing addresses. The App only receives confirmation from Google Play that a purchase was successful to activate and locally store your lifetime premium entitlement.
The App does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. The App contains no content directed at children.
